Many people wonder what to sell online to make easy money. Today, I decided to make you a list of 10 good ideas.
If you’re like me, most of these items are thrown in the trash or donated depending on their nature. However, you might be surprised to learn that you can actually make money with these items!
Before you begin, take a minute and sign up here for FREE to receive my weekly work from home emails! I’m sending out new information about working from home, paid apps, side gigs, and more.
Do you prefer to get all your information at once? My e-books which you can download here are a great option with everything you need, there when you want it.
These are all things that most people must, at some point, get rid of.
What to sell online:
1 – Sell digital printables
Digital printables are easy to make and in high demand! People are buying them like crazy on sites like Etsy.
The best thing about them is that you can make them once and then sell them over and over again! So the hard work is only done once.
Plus, you don’t need graphic design experience to make them. Almost anyone can do it!
Go here to get more information on how it works. This is a great way to sell online to generate real passive income.
2 – Sell your CDs and DVDs
Many of us no longer use our old CDs and DVDs thanks to mp3 players and instant streaming. But these used items are not completely worthless.
One idea is to redeem them using Amazon’s popular exchange program and receive Amazon gift codes equal to the value of your items.
If you’d rather just get cash for your used media, see how much RedeemWorld will give you your used CDs and DVDs.
3 – Sell your books
There are plenty of websites that will pay you for your used books. If you can’t find any of these book buying sites that will accept your used books, consider selling them used on Ebay or Amazon Marketplace.
If you have old magazines lying around, do a search on Ebay to see how much people are charging (and making) with issues from a similar year. You might be surprised how much you can get per number for things you’re planning to send to the trash.
4 – Sell your coupons
When you think about what products to sell online from home, coupons probably don’t come to mind!
But hold on to what you have and don’t be so quick to throw them in the trash. There are people who need coupons you don’t want and are willing to pay to get them.
However, it is important to note that you cannot legally sell coupons, as most coupons will have something on them that prohibits it. But you can give them away and then charge for the time you spend cutting, sorting and shipping them. So if you are selling them on Ebay, be sure to include that in your listing.
eBay is probably the best place to list your coupons (I’ve purchased them there myself). Most people list them in bundles rather than individually unless they are high coupons.
5 – Sell your electronic devices
Throwing your electronics in the trash is bad for the environment, and it’s also wasteful because there are many things you can make money on.
Before you throw away an old cell phone, MP3 player, or DVD player, research it and see what you can get for it. Electronics are some of the best products to sell online to make money.
6 – Sell your ink cartridges
There is a high demand for used ink cartridges. Some sites, like Ink Jet Buyer and TonerBuyer, will give you money for your empty cartridges.
If you don’t want to use these sites to get money and you have a child or grandchild who goes to school, check to see if the school will accept them. Schools can often get cash for empty ink cartridges and will accept what you have.
7 – Sell your VHS tapes
I’m willing to bet that at least some of you have VHS tapes on hand that you no longer watch. Most people think these movies are absolutely worthless because almost everything is released on DVD, right?
Fake! There are actually many films that have never been released on DVD. If you own a VHS tape of a movie that isn’t available on DVD, you could end up with a nice chunk of money!
Go through your old VHS tapes and see if there are any that haven’t been released on DVD. The easiest way to do this is to use a Amazon research. Most of these will be obscure titles that haven’t been released on DVD.
8 – Sell your buttons
Do you have a lot of pimples lying around? People will buy them! They are useful to people not only for sewing, but also for crafts. Here is an article with information about selling buttonsalthough eBay seems like the most obvious option for this.
