What is recovery?
Fetch is a free app that gives you points simply for uploading your purchase receipts. That’s really it! You shop as you normally would, save your receipts, take a photo of it in the app and earn points. These points can then be turned into gift cards for places like Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.
It works for both in-store and online shopping, and you don’t need to change where you shop or what you buy for it to work. Fetch fits seamlessly into your existing routine.
Is Fetch free to use?
Yes, completely free! There are no membership fees, no subscriptions and no plugs. Simply download the app, create a free account, and start capturing receipts. The app is available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
How can I start?
Getting started takes less than five minutes. Here’s everything you do:
Download Fetch from the App Store or Google Play. Create your free account, it only takes a few seconds. If someone referred you, enter their referral code before taking your very first receipt. If you signed up with their unique referral link, you can also skip this step as it will already be in place.
Once your account is created, you are ready to start earning!
How to earn points?
The main way to earn points is to take photos of your receipts. You can upload up to 35 receipts every seven days, so you have plenty of room to earn. Simply take a photo of your receipt using the orange button in the app.
One important thing to remember: physical receipts must be uploaded within 14 days of your purchase date. After that, they can no longer be processed!
You can also earn extra points through the Special Offers section of the app. Brands pay to be featured with great offers, much like digital coupons. Buying these hot products before you shop can really increase your points quickly.
I’ve done a few in the three weeks I’ve been using the app, and it’s helped me get enough money to cash out faster.
What receipts can I download?
Almost all purchase receipts work! Grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, clothing stores, home improvement stores: If you bought something and got a receipt, it’s probably worth taking.
Receipts that don’t work are things like:
Return receipts, utility and medical bills, prescription orders, movie or concert tickets, airline tickets, ATM receipts, and takeout coupons that do not indicate where the food came from.
If you shop online, you can also earn points through the e-receipts feature, which is my favorite and found to be very convenient. Simply connect your email account, Amazon account, or even Walmart account in the app, and Fetch will automatically find your digital receipts and give you credit for qualifying purchases.
With these, you don’t need to print anything or take a photo of your screen. Fetch finds them for you once your accounts are connected.
How to refer a friend?
If you want to share Fetch with someone (and earn a little bonus when they sign up), it’s super simple. Open the app, tap the Account tab in the bottom right corner and select “Refer a Friend”.
You’ll see your personal referral code, and the app will even give you a pre-written message that you can send via text, email, or through your favorite app. Simply copy and share!
How can I cash out my points?
This is the fun part! Once you have accumulated enough points, navigate to the Rewards tab at the bottom of the screen. Browse by category or search for the gift card you want.
You need at least 3,000 points to redeem most rewards, but you’d be surprised how quickly you can get there.
When you find the reward you want, tap it, select the dollar amount and click “Get my reward.” A confirmation screen will appear asking you to double-check your choice. Once you confirm, your reward processing begins.
How long does it take to get my reward?
Fetch states that rewards can take up to 72 hours (three days) to process. From my own experience, it was exactly then. I redeemed an Amazon gift card code on a Friday and by Monday it was in my rewards section ready to use.

Is the recovery worth it?
In my opinion, absolutely yes. Especially if you’re just throwing away your receipts right now. Might as well win something for them if you can.
