When I search work from homeI occasionally come across jobs in domestic airlines. You may be surprised to learn that some reputable airlines use home-based agents to book flights and handle customer service tasks.
For today’s article, I did some research and put together a list of four airlines that sometimes have fly-in openings.
The downside is that some of these companies require you to work on-site for a certain amount of time before you are allowed to work from home. So this might not be an option for you, depending on where you are.
Please keep in mind that the companies listed below are not always hiring. I put together this list for your reference so you know which airlines to keep an eye out for working from home. All listings here are based in the United States only, so if you are outside the United States they will not apply to you.
You’ll typically need a reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and a headset for each of these roles. So it’s a good idea to prepare them before applying!

4 Work From Home Airline Jobs
1. Southern Airways Express
Southern Airways Express has opened positions for virtual call center agents. These jobs appear to be open to anyone in the United States, although availability may vary.
According to recent job postings, pay is $13 to $15 per hour for full-time, eight-hour shifts. You only need a diploma or GED, but you need at least one year of prior call center experience, and they prefer airline industry experience.
Note that this role requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

2. Breeze Airways
Breeze Airways has a hybrid airport agent role that splits their time between working remotely and working at the airport. Before you read on, be aware that you must live near one of their airports they serve in Florida (like Fort Myers or Orlando) to be considered, so if you’re not in that area, this one won’t work for you.
When working remotely, you communicate with guests through digital channels such as text, email, and messaging apps. When you work at the airport during peak season, you help customers with check-in, boarding, and baggage. If hired, you may also be required to travel to Breeze headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT for meetings and training as needed.
Prior customer service experience of at least two years is required. Pay is $15 per hour for remote support and $16.50 per hour for airport work.

3. Sun Country Airlines
Sun Country Airlines has fully embraced remote working for all roles within its customer service team, which is great news! They hire reservation specialists and customer service agents who work entirely from home.
They are hiring in most US states, but cannot hire in the following: CA, DC, IL, MA, MT, ND, NH, NY, PA, SD, WA or any other US territory. Check this list before spending time applying.
The salary was previously listed around $16.60 an hour, although the current careers page doesn’t show a specific rate – so confirm the salary when you see an active listing. Previous customer service experience is required and the position is full-time.

4. JetBlue — Customer Support
JetBlue is one of the best-known airlines to offer remote customer support roles. Most of these positions are tied to their centers in Salt Lake City, UT and Orlando, FL, where agents can work from home after completing a period of on-site training. So if you don’t live in or near one of these areas, this may limit your chances of being considered.
In this type of role, you will assist customers via phone, live chat, social media, and email, as well as handling tasks such as reservations, flight changes, and general travel questions.
According to Glassdoor data, reservation agents at JetBlue typically earn between $18 and $27 per hour, which is acceptable for this type of work. A high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service experience are generally required.
Note that JetBlue’s customer support page does not always list open positions. It’s worth bookmarking it and checking back regularly as openings arise. You can also set up a job alert directly on their careers page so you don’t miss out on new offers.

Frontier Airlines is another company to keep on your radar. Their customer service roles have historically included some remote or hybrid positions, although availability changes frequently. You can check out their careers page here and search for Customer Service or Remote Roles to see what’s currently posted.

Bonus Tip: Check out FlexJobs for even more well-known companies that hire remotely
Flexible jobs is one of my favorite sites for finding remote jobs and discovering new companies that are hiring remotely. Most of what I see out there when I check the ads pays well above minimum wage and is from well-known companies.
The best thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee that ALL ads are scam free. They list hundreds of jobs, all remote or flexible, five days a week. There is also no advertising on the site.
Since there are no ads, they charge a membership fee, as that is the only way they will see a return on their job search efforts.
But it’s affordable… you can access it for around $2.95 for a full 14 days!
If you sign up and don’t like it, it’s very easy to cancel immediately so you don’t get charged again.

Good luck!
