ChatGPT Ads has expanded its advertising platform with new conversion optimization, attribution, budget management and campaign automation tools, continuing its efforts to serve performance marketers.
The update introduces several features that advertisers have come to expect from mature ad platforms, including conversion-optimized bidding, mobile measurement integrations, and bulk campaign management.
The biggest addition is conversion-optimized cost-per-click (oCPC) campaigns. Advertisers can now choose a conversion objective that automatically optimizes for clicks most likely to lead to conversions while maintaining CPC pricing.
The platform also changes the way budgets are managed. Starting next week, campaigns will use average daily budgets calculated over a rolling seven-day period, allowing spending to fluctuate from day to day while staying within the overall budget. Automatic budget regulation also distributes spending more evenly throughout the day.
The measure also received several updates. Integrations with AppsFlyer and Adjust allow advertisers to measure app installs and in-app events, while automatic advanced matching uses hashed customer data to improve attribution for website conversions.
The essentials
Campaign management benefits from several long-requested features, including geo exclusions that allow advertisers to remove specific locations from targeting and asynchronous bulk creation and updates via the Ads API for campaigns, ad groups and ads.
Product feed campaigns also start showing updated product sheets with prices and stars.
Much of the release focuses on core features rather than new ad formats. Better conversion optimization, stronger attribution, and improved campaign management reduce friction for advertisers evaluating ChatGPT ads alongside established platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads.
These additions also make the platform more practical for large advertisers who rely on automation, third-party measurement, and scalable campaign management to optimize performance.
