For example, you can use Indeed to find average salary statistics, check current job postings, or read reviews from former employees.
Due to the vast amount of data available, Indeed is one of the first places you’ll definitely want to look when research a company before applying for a job.
They follow companies of all sizes, including big names like Amazonand tons of small businesses you’ve probably never heard of before.
If you’re looking to get started in the work-from-home business, reviews are especially important because some companies don’t treat their remote employees as well as those who work on-site. Honestly, it’s just something you should keep in mind.
To make sure you don’t get stuck in a bad situation, you’ll definitely want to take advantage of all the information resources you can find, but if you don’t even know where to start, all that research can be time-consuming.
With that in mind, we’ve scoured the Indeed database and put together this list of highly rated work from home job opportunities.
For the sake of variety, we tried to ensure that there were several jobs on the list, especially popular remote work categoriesso a few great companies may have not made the list simply because their category was already overrepresented.

I’m pretty sure everyone on planet Earth has heard of Apple, but not everyone knows that they hire a lot of remote workers!
There are occasional work-from-home positions available at Apple, but the one currently attracting the biggest recruitment drive is the “home-based advisor” role: a telephone customer service job. Pay varies depending on location and experience, but many estimates place earnings between $15 and $20 per hour.

This is a reputable English tutoring site where teachers can set their own pace of work.
The reviews for this company on Indeed are almost all very enthusiastic. Italki scores particularly high in areas such as Work-life balance And culture. Many reviews mention schedule flexibility as an important benefit, and of course, it’s just so important when working from home.

3 – Wyzant
Effect rating – 3.9
Wyzant is an online tutoring marketplace where you set your own rate, choose your own subjects, and work a completely flexible schedule. Unlike platforms that assign students to you, Wyzant allows clients to browse your profile and book you directly, meaning the more you invest in your profile, the more work you tend to get.
Tutors keep 75% of what they charge, with Wyzant taking a 25% cut. Reviews on Indeed are generally positive, with scheduling flexibility and the ability to set your own rates being the most frequently mentioned benefits.
That said, it works best as a side income or side hustle, so just know that building a full client base takes time. For teachers, subject matter experts, or anyone with specialized knowledge to share, this is one of the simplest platforms on the market.

This is one of the most exciting remote opportunities to emerge in recent years, and the Indeed rating reflects that workers generally find the pay fair and the tasks engaging.
Pay rates are higher for flexible remote work, with many reviewers quoting earnings between $20 and $40 per hour depending on the project. Of course, the work is done entirely remotely, with no set schedule, so that’s a big plus.
Keep in mind that task availability can be inconsistent, so perhaps it might work better as a side income rather than a primary income.
