Working from home is much more common today than it was a decade ago.
When I first started looking for work from home jobs (probably about fourteen years ago), I had a really hard time finding anything through a basic Google search that didn’t take me directly to a fraudulent-looking website.
Thank goodness that’s no longer true!
Even so, many people still feel uneasy about working from home and fear being scammed every time they apply for a position online, especially if it’s a company they’ve never heard of before.
So I decided to create a list of 10 well-known companies that hire remote workers. These are companies that you and probably everyone else has heard of, but you may not have realized that they offer work from home!
These are big companies and corporations – well-known names. If you’re paranoid about scams and feel “safer” applying to work from home for a company you know rather than a company new to you, this list may be a good place to start:
Before entering the list, be sure to subscribe to my work at home email updates here! These are free, and you’ll find new information about remote jobs and more in every email. And my e-books you can see here are a good alternative to this if you just want one-off information rather than regular updates in your inbox.

Bonus Tip – Check out FlexJobs for even more well-known companies hiring remotely
Flexible jobs is one of my favorite sites for finding remote jobs and discovering new companies that are hiring remotely. Most of what I see out there when I check the ads pay well above minimum wage and are well-known companies.
The best thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee that ALL ads are scam free. They list hundreds of jobs, all remote or flexible, five days a week. There is also no advertising on the site.
Since there are no ads, they charge a membership fee, as that is the only way they will see a return on their job search efforts. But it’s cheap — you can access it for a few weeks for just $2.95!
If you sign up and aren’t happy, it’s easy to cancel immediately so you don’t get charged again for the next month.

I hope this list helped you if you were looking to work from home through a well-known brand. Good luck if you apply!
