Creatio is betting that the future of enterprise AI doesn’t belong to fully autonomous agents. It expects organizations to merge people, traditional workflows and AI agents into a single platform. That’s the strategy behind Creatio 10x, the company’s latest CRM and workflow release, which combines AI agent creation, governance, and CRM into a single native AI platform.
“Organizations of the future will have people, AI and processes,” said John Arnold, product marketing manager for AI CRM at Creatio. “Somewhere in between, you have that perfect mix of people, traditional workflows… AI assistants and autonomous agents. Every organization is different.”
This philosophy reflects a broader evolution in enterprise software. Most providers now offer AI agents. The competition is shifting to another question: how organizations govern these agents, integrate them into existing business processes, and avoid creating another disconnected technology layer.
Creatio’s answer is to make CRM the foundation on which all this happens. Rather than positioning AI as a separate application, the company wants organizations to build, deploy, govern and monitor agents alongside the customer data and workflows they already use.
AI is part of everyday work
Creatio 10x introduces two complementary products that target different parts of the organization.
AI Twin allows employees to create personal AI agents through a conversational interface without writing code. AI Studio gives IT and operations teams tools to create, govern, and manage more sophisticated agents across the enterprise. Together, they support everything from simple task automation to fully governed agent workflows.
The release also extends AI to all of the company’s CRM products. Marketing teams can use agents to create audience segments, generate campaign assets, and orchestrate campaigns. Sales teams benefit from AI-powered forecasting and sales tools, while customer service teams benefit from expanded AI-powered chat and omnichannel capabilities.
The most important point is not about individual features. Creatio views AI as an additional layer within existing workflows rather than replacing those workflows entirely.
Arnold said deterministic business processes remain the best choice for many repetitive tasks. AI agents become valuable when organizations need reasoning, synthesis, or the ability to navigate situations that are too complex for traditional workflows.

Go beyond the Frankenstack
This same thinking extends to enterprise software itself.
Arnold believes that organizations are reaching the limits of managing collections of specialized, connected applications through custom integrations and workarounds.
“We’re starting to see it as we pull out these point solutions,” he said. Instead of purchasing another application, organizations are increasingly asking whether they can build the features they need on top of a platform they already use.
He described many enterprise environments as “Frankenstacks” held together by tribal knowledge and manual workarounds. Rather than expanding these collections, Creatio’s strategy is to make CRM a composable platform on which organizations can build the workflows and AI capabilities they need without adding another point solution.
This reflects a broader trend across enterprise software. As AI capabilities become more mainstream, vendors are increasingly competing on platform consolidation as much as on AI itself.

Governing AI becomes the next challenge
Creating AI agents just got easier. Their management becomes the most difficult problem.
Creatio 10x includes governance tools that monitor agent activity, enforce policies, provide visibility into agent decisions, and connect to existing systems through standards such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and REST APIs.
The company is also introducing an AI Command Center that allows organizations to distribute AI usage across departments, monitor consumption, and assess whether that usage is generating business value.
Arnold says organizations should think differently about AI consumption.
“If you spend a dollar on a token and you get two dollars back, that’s no problem,” he said. “The question is, why didn’t you spend more than a dollar?
The biggest challenge, he says, is creating policies that help organizations understand where AI brings measurable results and where traditional workflows, or even human workers, remain the best choice.
This focus on governance may ultimately prove more important than any individual feature of AI. As enterprise AI evolves, competitive advantage shifts from simply deploying agents to deciding who owns them, how they are governed, and whether they produce enough value to justify their cost.
