Are you interested in becoming a home medical scribe? I found five companies looking to hire right now, and a few of them are entry-level positions!
In this article, I’ve listed the company that hires scribes, the experience you need, how much they pay (if I was able to find this information), and a link for you to apply.
Unfortunately, entry-level medical scribe jobs don’t pay very well, which is not surprising. But on the plus side, landing one of these entry-level jobs allows you to gain experience that could lead to landing a higher-paying medical scribe job in the future.

What is a medical scribe?
I explained in more detail what is a medical scribe in another blog post, but to summarize, a medical scribe is a person who carefully documents doctor-patient encounters. Documentation performed by a medical scribe typically involves taking notes during a patient visit and entering data.
The overall goal is to save the doctor’s time. Before medical scribes existed, it was usually up to the doctor providing care to take notes and document the visit.
Many medical scribes work in the office, but the work can also be done from home if the doctor has recorded or dictated information for the medical scribe to enter after the visit. telehealthor if they virtually accompanied the patient’s visit.
Please note that AI is having a growing impact on medical tracing as a field. Some companies are now using AI to facilitate or automate parts of documentation, meaning the nature of work is changing.
That said, human scribes are still in high demand, both to work alongside AI tools and in traditional real-time scribe roles.

Looking for even more legit remote jobs?
Flexible jobs is one of my favorite sites for finding remote jobs and discovering new companies that are hiring remotely.
Most of what I see out there when I check the ads pay well above minimum wage and are well-known companies.
The best thing about FlexJobs is that they guarantee that ALL ads are scam free. They list hundreds of jobs, all remote or flexible, five days a week.
There is no advertising on the site either!
Since there are no ads, they charge a membership fee, as that is the only way they will see a return on their job search efforts.
But it’s cheap — you can access it for a few weeks for just $2.95 for a full 14 days!
If you sign up and don’t like it, it’s very easy to cancel immediately so you don’t get charged again. You can do this at any time during your 14 day verification period.
