11 Set your own schedule of tasks to do from home


When working from home, the idea of ​​“setting your own work schedule” is appealing! For many of us, it’s difficult to work a predetermined schedule based on what’s going on in our lives, and not all remote job openings are. convenient hours Monday to Friday.

In fact, 73% of people recently surveyed by FlexJobs indicated that work-life balance is one of the most important factors they consider when looking for a job.

Some of the options available for working on your time are low paying, but there are many others that can pay quite well.

Today I decided to put together a list of many types of flexible jobs that you can typically do from home. This is especially for those of you who are unable to commit to a set schedule.

Set your own work from home schedule

1 – Editing and proofreading work

Working as an editor or proofreader is often very flexible, similar to freelance writing in that you work on your own schedule.

Keep in mind that most companies hiring editors and proofreaders ask for prior experience and/or a degree in a related field. That said, it’s an area that can pay off quite well!

Another, more lucrative option is to start your own proofreading side job. You can do this without previous experience or degree. You just need to have the gift of spotting errors in the text!

2 – Side concerts

Side gigs aren’t typically “work from home”, but I wanted to list them here as options because they are very flexible and work when you want some types of opportunities.

Most of these companies require you to have a smartphone and reliable transportation. You can get paid to run errands for people – delivering food, delivering groceries, or even running errands.

Some companies to watch are Instacart And PorteDash.

3 – Academic tutoring

Academic tutoring involves providing private lessons to K-12 or college-educated students, or providing homework assistance. It can also be flexible.

Most of these companies also pay more than $15 per hour.

Keep in mind that in most cases (but not all) you will need a degree or previous teaching or tutoring experience to qualify.

If you’re interested in doing this as a work from home, look at companies like Study group Or Tutor.com. These two establishments are reputable and almost always accept new tutors. If this doesn’t work for you, I have several others listed here.

4 – Transcription

As a transcriber, you listen to audio and then type (transcribe) what you hear. It’s not as simple as it seems, and there is a learning curve.

Flexibility varies from company to company when it comes to transcription work, but many allow you to work at any time as long as you return transcribed files by specific deadlines.

If you want to work with a company that accepts beginners, you can inquire Round Or Transcribe meor one of the others options listed in this article if you notice that these two companies are not hiring (sometimes not).

Your chances of being hired by any company, even as a beginner, are better if you have some training, although training is not always required.

5 – Independent writing

Although you’ll likely have deadlines to meet, freelance writing from home is one of the best ways to earn a substantial amount of money while working when you want.

6 – Data entry

Keep in mind that legitimate data entry companies rarely need to hire. It’s a job it seems everyone wants to do, and people tend to keep good gigs when they find them.

There are also many data entry scams there, so be careful when looking for opportunities and don’t pay money to start.

If you want to enter data, try checking the openings with TELUS Or Wide path. You should search the BroadPath tasks page for “data entry” because they are not always listed.

Keep in mind that these are low-paying opportunities and it would be better to think of this as extra money rather than something that replaces your day job. 7 – Independent sites

Sites aimed at freelancers tend to offer a variety of work in countless categories. You can usually find items for any skill level: data entry, transcription, voiceover work, graphic design, freelance writing, and much more.

Most of the time, these are flexible tasks that you can work on whenever you want as long as you meet the deadline set by the requester.

8 – Search engine evaluation

As a search engine evaluator, you work for companies that contract with major search engines to help them evaluate results. This ensures that search results and relevant ads are displayed to search engine users.

One of the best things about these types of tasks is that they are almost always set around your own schedule. You can work whenever you want, although some companies will require you to dedicate a minimum number of hours per week to this work.

If you are interested in doing this type of work, be sure to inquire about TELUS And The app – two of the most well-known companies to work with in this sector.

9 – Short Task Sites

You can find all kinds of jobs to be done on these sites: data entry, transcription, and even search engine evaluation, and you can always just log in and grab the jobs to be done whenever you want.

The problem with these sites is that the salaries are VERY low. Generally, you can only consider adding some extra money here and there.

Still, if you want to work for short task companies, I suggest you check out Amazon Turkish Mechanical And Click worker.

10 – Virtual assistance

As a work-from-home virtual assistant, you help your clients with all the online tasks they need and don’t have time for themselves. It can be a lucrative job that also tends to be quite flexible, depending on who you’re doing the work for.

If you want to work from home and offer virtual assistance, you can check out companies like Fancy hands Or Time, etc..

You can also choose to go into business as a virtual assistant, which gives you much more control over your own schedule and income.

11 – Telephone work

Telephone work from home typically involves customer support, technical support, or telemarketing. In most cases, these jobs are not very lenient when it comes to hours. They will often hire you as a W-2 employee with a set schedule to follow.
